DESCRIPTION:The United States Bomb Technician Association (USBTA)\, the Hillsborough County Sheriff Bomb Team\, and the Tampa (Florida) Police Bomb Squad are proud to announce the seventh annual Critical Skills Challenge (Top Bomb Tech Competition). This event is a competition that brings together military and public safety bomb technicians to test their knowledge\, skills\, and abilities while using a variety of tools and equipment.  \n What are the critical skills that will be tested?  \nRigging\, Robotics\, Precision disruption\, X-ray interpretation\, Electronics\, Detonator diagnostics\, Hand entry (Cat A)\, Homemade explosive identification\, Operating in a bomb suit\, and a written general bomb technician knowledge test.  \n The top three bomb technicians will have the opportunity to be recognized by Congress in Washington\, DC by the EOD Caucus in the Spring of 2026.  \nHotel link: https://book.passkey.com/event/51131531/owner/26124/landing \nNOTE:  Observers and Staff members looking to attend the event should register on the Emerging Technology Event page.
