DESCRIPTION:The United States Bomb Technician Association (USBTA) will conduct a 4-day Technology Training Exercise (TTE) at the United States Air Force (USAF) 1st Operations Civil Engineering Squadron (415 Independence Rd\, Hurlburt Field\, FL 32544). \n\n\n\nUSBTA\, USAF\, and the Florida Department of Investigative and Forensics Services Bureau of Fire\, Arson\, and Explosives Investigations (DIFS)\, along with a variety of Industry partners\, will conduct a Technology Training Exercise (TTE) involving multiple disciplines and equipment related to Military and Public Safety Bomb Technicians\, missions at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base (AFB). \n\n\n\nUnder the supervision of USAF and USBTA Observer Controllers (OCs)\, the Bomb Technicians will have classroom and hands-on training with state-of-the-art equipment\, including x-ray\, homemade explosives\, robotics\, bomb suits\, rigging\, UAV’s\, disruptors\, shaped charges\, and receive information on emerging threats and case studies. This training is free to all Military and Public Safety Bomb Technicians and meets formal training requirements for Bomb Technician proficiency\, as outlined in the National Guidelines for Bomb Squads.
