PORTLAND TECHNOLOGY TRAINING EXERCISE June 13-15, 2023

The United States Bomb Technician Association (USBTA), in collaboration with the Portland Police Bureau and the Portland Metropolitan Explosive Disposal Unit will be conducting a Technology Training Exercise (TTE) for enhanced Bomb Technician Training in Portland, Oregon. 

This training is free to all Military Explosives Ordnance Disposal Technicians and Public Safety Bomb Technicians.  The USBTA, Portland Police Bureau and Portland Metropolitan Explosive Disposal Unit, along with our Industry Partners, will supply all necessary equipment during this event.  Through multiple real-life scenarios and various training aids, this TTE allows attending technicians to work with cutting-edge equipment, involving current threats facing our Nation and Bomb Technicians in the most challenging environments.   

Location:  The training will take place at the: Portland Police Bureau Training Division, 14912 NE Airport Way, Portland, Oregon 97230. 

Dates:  June 13 – 15, 2023 (Travel days are Monday, June 12, and Friday, June 16, 2023).
